design by sarahgoff.com

Details

It's time for our annual art event.  What started out as an idea to raise money and awareness for our organization has become the premier repurposed art show in South Florida if not the nation.

We return to ArtServe again. For the second year, this will be a juried exhibition with  cash prizes to the winners which includes professional, amateur, and student categories.

Intake is Saturday, August 11, 10-2.  Commit early by paying on-line and save $5 on the entrance fee.  Adults commit to a Trash to Treasure membership and your entry is half price.

Reception

The reception is August 16, 6-8.  Our reception fills the ArtServe parking lot.  Please consider carpooling and mass transit.

Matching Grant for Trash to Treasure from Jack Johnson

Jack Johnson's "To the Sea" concert tour's profits will go to national and local nonprofits.  Trash to Treasure has been selected by the Jack Johnson All At Once Foundation to receive a matching grant up to $2,500.

Here is the story from the web site:

100% of Jack Johnson's 2008 tour profits were used to establish the Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation, an endowment founded by Jack and Kim Johnson to support environmental, art and music education now and into the future. As part of the 2010 world tour, the Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation will offer direct and matching donations to All At Once partner non-profits. Jack Johnson will once again donate 100% of his 2010 tour profits to charity.
Here is how you can help.

Stop by Trash to Treasure with cash or check.

Send a check to:
Trash to Treasure
1100 NW 53 Street
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309

Note Jack Johnson on the check.

Visit our Network for Good credit card web site.  It's listed under our parent organization South Florida Reuse and Recycling Institute Inc.  Put Jack Johnson in the Designation box.

Thanks to our corporate sponsors who are helping us reach the goal:

Thanks to Emerald Isle Recycling's Chris Martin (former T2T Director) for making this happen.
Also, thanks to Paul Baker at Ace Waste for their generous donation.

UPDATE:  A very special thank you to Broward County Commissioner Kristin Jacobs.  Commissioner Jacobs won re-election without opposition recently.  She is donating most of her campaign funds to Broward County nonprofits.

Can't donate right now?  Watch this 50 second video and Jack Johnson will donate $1 to our cause.

Want to buy Jack Johnson's "To the Sea" album?  Go to GoodShop and Trash to Treasure gets part of the proceeds.
