With 1.85 million residents and 12 million visitors annually, there is a lot to plan for. Working with residents, businesses and Broward's 31 municipalities, our goal is to review the County’s Land Use and Comprehensive Plans to make sure they reflect current and anticipated growth and priorities. Here at Trash 2 Treasure Creative Reuse Center - Fort Lauderdale we are busy prepping for our annual art event -- Trash 2 Art.

What started out as an idea to simply raise a bit of operating capital and have some fun growing awareness for our scrappy organization quickly grew into what is now considered the premier re-purposed art show in South Florida.
This year we're taking our show to Arts Park in Young Circle, Hollywood, Florida in the Visual Arts Pavilion.  We'll be showcasing these innovative creations in conjunction with the monthly Downtown Hollywood ArtWalk on Saturday, November 15, 2014, from 6:30p – 9:30pm.

As we receive confirmation from our partners, we'll be sharing their special message of support here and through our growing network of collaborators.
And remember, all ages are welcome to participate as artists and all mediums are welcome. Our only requirement is that the materials used must be 75% recycled or re-purposed.

Three Things You Can Do to Help Us with Our Move

In case you missed it, we are moving to ArtServe effective October 3.

Here are three things you can do to help.

Renew your membership now.  Our membership costs will be increasing at our new location.  You can lock in the costs we have held for seven years by renewing now.  Your membership expiration date will be extended for an additional year.  Has your membership lapsed or were you thinking about getting a membership?  Do it now.

Donate money.  We have expenses related to the move.  Plus, we will be closed for about six weeks but still have to pay rent on at our current location.  Your donation will help keep us going.

Volunteer.  We need help to move.  Email or call us at 888-828-8242 and let us know when you can help.
