Girl Scout Creations

Check out this great note we got from Girl Scout leader, Heidi Miller.

Hello,
We wanted to say a BIG thank you to all of you at Trash to Treasure.  On one of my many trips there, i picked up bows made from ribbon which you had in plastic bags.  One of your volunteers said she might have something that would interest us and she did - little embroidered flowers packed in plastic bags.  This was a perfect find for us along with the black fabric and rolls of velcro.  We made our vests, aprons, and belts from the black fabric and lined it with the black velcro.  Then the girls hot glued the bows, flowers, and beads onto the velcro strip.
Our Girl Scout troop utilized all of these items (as well as some other items you had) at our Area 3 World Thinking Day event this past Saturday.  Our troop represented Romania and its holiday of Martisor.  We made our costumes from all the stuff we found at Trash to Treasure and some items we had on hand.  We were one of the best representing troops there and we couldnt have done it without you!
Attached is a picture of our girls at World thinking day.  Thank you again for everything!

Ps - in a side project for my son, my daughter brought home some small airplanes from T2T and we made a mobile for above his bed. =)

Thank you sooo much,
Heidi
