If You Believe that Trash to Treasure is Important to the Community

IF you believe that Trash to Treasure Creative Reuse Center is important to the community…please read this.

May 2012 will mark the 5th year anniversary of Trash to Treasure. We have operated both the Warehouse center and educational outreach programs for the last five years almost exclusively on a volunteer basis. Memberships have lagged behind our estimates partly due to the school board slashing of arts programs, a poor economy and environmental awareness challenges in South Florida in general.
We are holding a meeting ~Location to be determined by attendance
Thursday,  April 26th at 7:00 pm, AND Friday, April 27th at 11:00 am
PLEASE RSVP, ASAP to attend if you care about the continuation of this special place in our community. The agenda will include:
  •  Increasing the number of volunteers and training them to operate the Center on Fridays and Saturdays;
  •  The need for increased memberships and membership renewal commitment
  • The need to encourage those who donate material and /or use the Center for recycling to make financial donations as well.

Trash to Treasure Creative Reuse Center has always been about grassroots community building and sustainability. T2T belongs to everyone.  At this crossroads, it will take a unified effort from all of us.
If you think it is important to have a place that advocates for creative expression and boundless imagination and that wisely honor’s our Earth’s abundantly bestowed resources, then I hope you will attend and be ready to step up to the plate to help Trash to Treasure Creative Reuse Center continue and prosper.
