AIM (Architects In the Making) Summer Camp
July 11-15, 2011  9am – 3pm
Trash to Treasure Creative Reuse Studio~1064 NW 53rd Street, FTL 33309
Ages: 8-14, limited enrollment
Cost: $70/week, includes all materials
Lunch and transportation to be self-provided
Friday lunch, water and snacks will be provided
 
Our AIM camp will focus on developing the next leaders in architecture through the use of sustainable design principles for the built environment based on the integration of environmental stewardship, economic justice and social community building. Our AIMLeadership is to create solutions for tomorrow’s challenges today.”
Each day will start with a presentation by a local professional architect. Included is a fun and educational tour of the Trash to Treasure Creative Re-Use Center which is right next door.. Learning design principles while gaining leadership skills through sustainability will include interactive discussions, lessons and the opportunity to design and build your own model using recycled, re-purposed materials. The community garden next to the studio will provide for additional learning about water conservation and the environment. Come and join us, it should be ecosunsational!
